The doctor opens the consult already knowing why they came.

The evening before the appointment, the patient answers four short questions on WhatsApp and sends their old reports as photos. It all lands on the record, so the first minute of the consult is the consult, not the form.

The moment it fires

Booked today, asked tonight, ready tomorrow.

The first five minutes of most consults are spent finding out what the last five minutes of the previous doctor's consult already knew. What is the complaint, since when, what are you taking, any allergies, where are the reports. The patient digs in a bag for a folder while the queue waits.

This flow starts when a new patient is booked, or an existing patient is booked for a new complaint. The evening before, the patient gets a message from your clinic's number asking four things, one at a time. The questions are the ones your doctors chose for their specialty, in the patient's language.

Answers become fields on the record: chief complaint, duration, current medicines, allergies. Photos of reports and old prescriptions are filed as documents against tomorrow's visit. If the patient has an ABHA number, the flow asks for it and links it before they arrive.

What the patient gets

Four questions, one at a time, and a place to send the reports.

Nothing to fill on a screen. The patient just answers, and can skip anything.

How it works

Trigger, message, reply, record.

  1. 01On booking

    Trigger

A booking for a new patient, or a new complaint for an existing one. The doctor's specialty picks the question set.

  2. 02Evening before

    Message

The evening before, questions go one at a time from your clinic's number in the patient's language. Skipping is allowed; nothing blocks the visit.

  3. 03Within the thread

    Reply

Free-text answers are filed into the right fields. Photos become documents on the visit. An ABHA number is verified and linked. Anything unclear goes to staff.

  4. 04Before the patient walks in

    Record

The doctor opens the visit with complaint, medicines, allergies and documents already in place. The AI scribe picks up from there.

Checklist

What your clinic sets up before it goes live.

One question set per specialty gets you started. Doctors refine their own after a week.

  1. Question set per specialty

Pick from our starting sets or write your own four to six questions. Keep them short; they are answered on a phone.

  2. Urgent-answer words

The words or phrases that should reach a person at once, and who that person is.

    Your clinic
  3. Document types

Decide how photos are labelled on the record: report, prescription, imaging, other. Staff can relabel at the desk.

    Your clinic
  4. ABHA settings

Whether to ask for ABHA at intake and which consent text is shown. Requires your ABDM registration to be complete.

  5. Desk fallback

What the front desk asks at the counter when intake was skipped, so the record is complete either way.

    Your clinic
  6. Clinic number on SaroConnect

Your WhatsApp Business number verified and connected on setup day.

Your questions answered.

The things clinics ask first.

Nothing changes for the visit. The desk sees that intake was not completed and asks the same questions at the counter. The flow never blocks or cancels an appointment.

They are filed as patient-reported and labelled that way. The doctor confirms or corrects them in the consult, and the AI scribe uses the confirmed version.

Yes. Photos and PDFs sent in the thread are filed as documents on tomorrow's visit, labelled by type. The doctor sees them before the patient sits down.

The patient replies with their ABHA number or address. Saaro verifies it through ABDM, records consent, and links it. If they do not have one, the desk can create one at the visit.

The first message identifies the clinic, the doctor and the appointment time so the patient knows it is genuine. It goes from your verified WhatsApp Business number with your clinic's name.
