The outpatient side of a hospital, on one record.
For hospitals whose OPD runs across many departments and consultants. Every department opens the same patient, the counter bills on one registration, and the follow-up goes out from the hospital's own WhatsApp number. Wards, theatres and beds stay with your HIS.

The patient saw three departments. Each one started from a blank file.
A hospital OPD is a clinic chain that happens to share a building. Medicine refers to cardiology, cardiology orders a test, the patient comes back to a third consultant on a different day — and at each desk the record starts again, because each department kept its own. The counter, meanwhile, bills from memory of what the visit was.
Saaro gives the OPD one patient index. Whichever department a patient walks into, the consultant opens the same record: the allergies, the prescriptions from other departments, the report that came back yesterday, the follow-up that was due. Billing runs on the hospital's registration, reported by consultant and by department, with the same numbers at the counter and in administration.
Messaging runs from one WhatsApp Business number on SaroConnect, our own infrastructure. A patient has one thread with the hospital, whichever department sends the message, and nothing is metered per message.
Built for departments that share patients.
One record across departments
Shared patient index by phone and ABHA. A referral from medicine to cardiology is a visit on the same record, not a new file at a new desk.
Learn moreConsultant-wise billing and collections
Every consultation, procedure and package is billed on the hospital's registration and reported by consultant, so revenue share and payouts come from the record, not a spreadsheet.
Learn moreRole-based access
Front desk sees the queue, consultants see their patients, administration sees the reports. Every view and edit is logged against a user.
Learn moreDepartment rosters and scheduling
Slots by consultant and department, with OPD days that change week to week. Confirmations and reminders go out on WhatsApp and replies come back to the desk.
Learn moreOne WhatsApp number for the hospital
Prescriptions, reports and reminders go out from the hospital's number with the department named in the message. Replies route to the department that sent it.
Learn moreReports that reach the record
Lab and radiology results attach to the visit that ordered them and flag abnormal values, whichever department reads them next.

Referred across the corridor. The record went with them.
A patient seen in general medicine is referred to cardiology the same week. The cardiologist sees the medicine consultation, the prescription and the ECG that was ordered, and bills the visit on the hospital's registration.
Administration sees both visits in the day's numbers by consultant, alongside every other department.
- Department and consultant on every visit and invoice
- Referrals are a visit on the same record, not a new file
- Same numbers at the counter and in administration

Start with two departments, then bring the rest across.
- 01Day 1
Templates
We set up department templates, consultant rosters, the fee schedule, roles and the hospital's WhatsApp number. Consultants add their own favourites on short calls.
- 02Day 2
Migration
We import the OPD's patients, visits, prescriptions and outstanding bills and merge duplicates across departments by phone number and ABHA. Typically about two days per batch of departments.

Live
The pilot departments run a full OPD day on Saaro with us on call. Administration watches the dashboard fill in. Remaining departments follow on the rollout calendar.
OPD is ours. Wards, theatres and beds are not.
Saaro is an outpatient EMR. It runs consultations, records, billing and follow-up for the departments patients walk into and out of on the same day. It does not manage inpatient admissions, bed allocation, operation theatre scheduling or nursing stations — that is the job of a Hospital Information System, and a hospital with wards needs one.
If your OPD and IPD have to live in one system, we will say so on the call and point you to the products built for it. If your OPD is the part that is slow, crowded and running on paper while the HIS handles the wards, that is the problem Saaro is built for.

Your questions answered.
The things clinics ask first.
No. Saaro is an outpatient EMR. Admissions, beds, operation theatres and nursing workflows belong to a Hospital Information System, and a hospital with wards needs one. Saaro runs the OPD alongside it.
On call, on the Chain tier, billed annually and excluding GST. The price depends on the number of departments and consultants and the migration work involved. Patient messaging is included in every department, not metered.
Yes. Every department opens the same patient record, matched by phone number and ABHA. A referral is a visit on that record, and the receiving consultant sees the earlier consultation, prescriptions and reports.
Yes. Every consultation, procedure and package is billed on the hospital's registration and reported by consultant and by department, so revenue share and payouts come from the record rather than a spreadsheet.
One number for the hospital, on SaroConnect, our own WhatsApp Business infrastructure. The message names the department, and replies are routed to the department that sent it.
In India, in the Mumbai region. Role-based access controls who can see what, every view and edit is recorded, and consent artefacts and ABHA linking are handled in the record for ABDM.

- FeaturesMulti-clinicSaaro runs a clinic chain as one system: a shared patient index, doctors who move between branches, billing that stays separate per location, and a single view for the owner.
- FeaturesBilling & GSTBilling is generated from the consult, not typed in separately. GST-compliant, auto-numbered per branch, and reconciled at the end of the day without a separate spreadsheet.
- FeaturesPatient recordsA record built from every visit, not a spreadsheet row. Prescriptions, reports, notes and follow-ups sit in one timeline, linked to the patient's ABHA if they have one.
- FeaturesAppointment schedulingSlots per doctor and branch, confirmations and reschedules by a one-character reply, walk-ins in the same queue as bookings, and a no-show that is followed up without the desk dialling.
- FeaturesWhatsApp automationSaaro runs on SaroConnect, Lumotis's own WhatsApp Business infrastructure. Reminders, prescriptions, reports and refills go out from your number, patient replies come back to the desk, and messaging is included in every plan.
- AI flowsNo-show recoveryA reminder that only says 'see you tomorrow' tells you nothing. Saaro's reminder asks the patient to reply 1 or 2, moves the appointment inside WhatsApp if they pick 2, and shows your front desk exactly who has gone quiet.
