A MocDoc alternative sized for the clinic, not the hospital.
MocDoc brings hospital-style outpatient management — queues, departments, lab, pharmacy and inpatient modules — to clinics and small hospitals. Saaro Health is an OPD EMR that starts from the patient's WhatsApp thread. Which is right depends on how much of a hospital you are.

Choose MocDoc if
- You run inpatient beds, even a few, and want OPD and IPD in one system with admission, ward and discharge workflows.
- Your outpatient department is organised like a hospital — multiple departments, token queues across counters, a central billing desk — and you want software that mirrors that.
- You run a laboratory with instrument interfacing or a large pharmacy store and want those managed from the same platform.
- You want a vendor with longer market tenure and a hospital-style implementation practice.
Choose Saaro Health if
- You are an OPD clinic or a chain of OPD locations and want a product built for that scale, with setup typically within a day.
- You want prescriptions, reminders, reports and refills sent from your clinic's own WhatsApp number on infrastructure the vendor owns, with messaging bundled.
- You dictate in Hindi and English and want structured prescriptions with interaction checks and AI consult notes.
- You want AI follow-up flows for no-shows, chronic care and reactivation to run without staff effort.
- You want one patient record across locations, GST billing and ABDM consent artefacts, hosted in India.

Where MocDoc is the better choice.
If you have even a handful of beds, MocDoc is the better fit and Saaro is not a candidate. Admission, ward allocation, nursing notes, discharge and the billing that goes with an inpatient stay are hospital workflows, and MocDoc supports them alongside OPD. Saaro is an outpatient product and does not offer inpatient modules.
MocDoc's hospital-style outpatient management also suits a large polyclinic where patients move between departments and counters with a token. If your front desk is really several desks, and your reporting is by department, that structure is built into MocDoc. Saaro's appointments and queue are built for clinic scale — one counter, a few doctors, a few locations — and do not model departments the way a hospital does.
Laboratories with instrument interfacing and pharmacy stores with hospital-scale inventory are also better served there. Saaro's lab and pharmacy modules are for clinic-scale orders, results and dispensing, not for a diagnostic centre.
Pricing side by side.

What switching from MocDoc involves.
Clinics moving from MocDoc are usually OPD-only centres that found the hospital structure heavier than they needed. The move carries outpatient data: patients, visits, prescriptions, lab results, pharmacy sales, invoices and future appointments. Setup is typically within a day and migration from another EMR is typically about two days.
What changes most is the patient side. On Saaro, the prescription, the report, the follow-up date and the refill nudge go to the patient's WhatsApp from your clinic's own Business number on SaroConnect, Lumotis's own WhatsApp Business Solution Provider infrastructure. There is no third-party BSP in the chain, messaging is bundled into the plan rather than metered, and there is no external template-approval queue when you change a message.
ABHA IDs carry across where you have them. Saaro stores ABDM consent artefacts in the record and pushes FHIR records where the patient has consented. Data is hosted in India, in the Mumbai region, with role-based access and an audit trail for DPDP Act 2023 readiness.
Your lab and pharmacy keep working from the same workspace as the record, at clinic scale: orders from the consult, results filed to the record and sent to WhatsApp, dispensing against the prescription rows.
- Patients, visits, prescriptions, lab results, pharmacy sales, billing and future appointments are the data types we move.
- Your existing WhatsApp Business number is verified on SaroConnect during setup.
- Specialty templates are loaded on the demo call, before migration starts.
Export, map, import, verify.
- 01Day 1
Export
You export outpatient data from MocDoc: patients, visits, prescriptions, lab results, pharmacy sales and invoices. We send a checklist.
- 02Day 1
Map
We map MocDoc's fields to Saaro's, set aside inpatient-only fields with your agreement, and confirm anything ambiguous.
- 03Day 2
Import
Records are imported into your Saaro workspace. Duplicates are merged on phone number and name, with a merge list for review.
- 04Day 2
Verify
You spot-check a sample, run one OPD session in parallel, and sign off. MocDoc stays read-only until you are sure.
Your questions answered.
The things clinics ask first.
Outpatient data MocDoc exports — patients, visits, prescriptions, lab results, pharmacy sales and invoices — is imported and verified against a sample before sign-off. Inpatient records are outside Saaro's scope and stay in MocDoc; we flag that before import.
Setup is typically within a day and migration typically about two days: export and mapping on day 1, import and verification on day 2. Larger lab and pharmacy histories can add time, and we tell you after seeing the export.
Yes. Your clinic's WhatsApp Business number is verified on SaroConnect, our own WhatsApp infrastructure, so patients keep the same thread and clinic name. Each location can have its own number or share one.
Saaro's Solo plan is ₹1,499 per clinic per month, the Clinic plan for 2–5 doctors is ₹3,999, and the Chain plan for 6–50 locations is on call. All are billed annually, exclude GST, and include setup, migration and patient messaging. MocDoc's own terms are between you and MocDoc.
Yes. Run Saaro as the working OPD system for about a week with MocDoc open read-only, compare a few patients a day, and cut over when the counter, the lab and the doctors are comfortable.
