Migration

Move from Practo Ray. Your patients will not notice, and your front desk will barely have to.

Export what Practo Ray gives you, we map it, import it and verify it with you. About two days, no deletion at the source, same WhatsApp number for patients.

What moves

Everything you have entered into Practo Ray comes across as records, not screenshots.

Practo Ray is a full practice management system, so a clinic that has used it for a few years typically holds a patient list with phone numbers, a visit history with notes, prescriptions, uploaded reports, invoices and receipts, and an appointment calendar. All six of those data types have a home in Saaro.

The export you take from your Practo Ray account is the starting point. Whatever format it arrives in, whether spreadsheets, PDFs or a data dump arranged by the vendor's support team, we read it and build a mapping sheet that says, column by column, where each field lands in Saaro.

Two things need a decision from you rather than from us. Prescriptions that were typed as free text rather than structured drug lines can be imported as text and re-structured over time, or structured during import at extra effort. And patients without a phone number cannot be reached on WhatsApp until one is added, so the front desk collects it at the next visit.

Data checklist

Six data types, and who is responsible for each.

Product means Saaro does it. Clinic means you provide or confirm it. Both means we do it together on the verification call.

  1. Patients

Name, phone, date of birth or age, sex, address, allergies and any existing ABHA number. Phone number is the key we de-duplicate on, so a patient recorded twice in Practo Ray becomes one record in Saaro.

    Saaro handles it
  2. Visits

Date, doctor, chief complaint, notes and diagnosis for each consultation. Visits are attached to the right patient and appear in the timeline in order.

    Saaro handles it
  3. Prescriptions

Structured drug lines are imported as rows with drug, dose, frequency and duration, so refill reminders and interaction checks work on old prescriptions too. Free-text prescriptions come in as text and you decide whether to re-structure them.

  4. Reports

Uploaded lab and imaging files are attached to the visit they belong to. If the export separates files from visits, we match on patient and date and you confirm the ambiguous ones.

  5. Billing history

Invoices, receipts and outstanding balances are imported with their original invoice numbers, so a patient's ledger in Saaro shows the same dues it showed in Practo Ray. Your GST details are set up fresh in Saaro.

    Your clinic
  6. Appointments

Future appointments are imported into the Saaro calendar. You confirm the doctor and slot mapping, because clinics often rename slots or doctors when they switch.

How it runs

Export, map, import, verify. Two days.

  1. 01Day 1

    Export

You take the export from your Practo Ray account, or ask their support to prepare one. Send it to us over a secure upload link; nothing goes over email or WhatsApp.

  2. 02Day 1

    Map

We read the files and send you a mapping sheet: every column, where it lands in Saaro, and any field that needs a decision. You approve it or mark changes.

  3. 03Day 2

    Import

We load the mapped data into your Saaro workspace, run de-duplication on phone number, and attach reports to visits. You get a summary of counts per data type.

  4. 04Day 2

    Verify

On a call, your front desk opens ten to twenty real patients in both systems and checks demographics, last visit, last prescription and balance. Only then do we call it done.

Cut-over

Run both for a while. Switch when the front desk is ready, not when a calendar says so.

After verification, most clinics enter new visits in Saaro from the next OPD session and keep Practo Ray open read-only beside it. A week or two of overlap is normal. Nothing is deleted from Practo Ray by the migration; if you close that account later, that is your decision and your timing.

Your clinic's WhatsApp number comes with you. During setup it is onboarded onto SaroConnect, Lumotis's own WhatsApp Business Solution Provider infrastructure, so reminders, prescriptions and reports go out from the same number your patients already have saved. There is no third-party BSP in the middle and no external template-approval queue to wait on.

If you ran patient messaging through Practo before, tell patients nothing. The number, the clinic name and the thread are the same on their phone. The only thing that changes is that the messages now come from Saaro.

Your questions answered.

The things clinics ask first.

No. Migration copies data into Saaro and never deletes anything from Practo Ray. You verify real patients in both systems before cut-over, and you decide when, or whether, to close the old account.

About two days for a typical clinic: export and mapping on day one, import and verification on day two. Multi-doctor clinics with many years of history can take longer, which we confirm after seeing a sample export.

Yes. Your existing number is onboarded onto SaroConnect during setup. Patients see the same number and clinic name; nothing changes on their phone.

Saaro's published plans are Solo ₹1,499 and Clinic ₹3,999 per clinic per month, billed annually, excluding GST, with patient messaging included. Migration is scoped on the demo call once we have seen a sample export, so there are no surprises after you sign.

Yes. Enter new visits in Saaro and keep Practo Ray open read-only as long as you like. Most clinics switch off the old system after a week or two of overlap.
