ABHA

Ayushman Bharat Health Account

ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is a unique 14-digit health identification number issued under India's Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). It lets a patient's health records — created at different clinics, labs and hospitals — be linked together under one identity, with the patient's consent for each share.

For a clinic, ABHA matters at two points: creating or linking a patient's ABHA number at registration, and pushing a structured summary of the visit to the patient's health locker once they consent. Neither requires a separate government portal if the clinic's software supports it directly.

Saaro Health creates and links ABHA numbers as part of the standard registration flow, and records consent for every push to the patient's health locker as part of the patient's record.
