Your day

The patient is two, the phone belongs to the mother, and the card is at home.

A paediatric OPD runs on a different set of facts. The patient cannot tell you what is wrong. The dose depends on today's weight. The vaccination card is the most important document in the family and it is in a drawer somewhere. And the person you are actually communicating with is a parent on WhatsApp, often between one child's school run and another's fever.

Saaro's paediatric template keeps weight, height and head circumference plotted on growth charts at every visit, the vaccination schedule with each dose given and each dose due, and the parent's number as the contact for the whole family. Dictate the syrup in mg/kg and the rows come out in ml for the bottle you named.

Reminders for the next vaccine, the follow-up after a fever and the well-baby visit go to the parent from your clinic's number on SaroConnect, our own WhatsApp infrastructure. The parent replies 1 and the slot is booked.

What a paediatric clinic gets

Built for the child in the chair and the parent on the phone.

In the product

The due-date reminder goes to the parent, and the visit books itself.

A week before the next vaccine is due, the parent gets a message naming the child and the vaccine. Reply 1 books the slot; reply 2 asks for another time. On the day, the dose, batch and site are recorded against the schedule and the card is updated.

If the family misses the date, the reminder repeats at the interval you set, and the schedule shows the dose as overdue until it is given.

  • Child's name and vaccine in the message
  • Batch and expiry recorded per dose
  • Catch-up schedule when a dose is late

Setup

Three days to a clinic where the reminders run themselves.

  1. 01Day 1

    Templates

We load the paediatric template: growth charts, the vaccination schedule you follow, your syrup and drop formulations for mg/kg dosing, fever and well-baby instruction sets in Hindi and English, and your clinic's WhatsApp number.

  2. 02Day 2

    Migration

Children, parents' numbers, visit history, prescriptions and vaccination records come across from your current software or registers. Each child's schedule is rebuilt from the doses already given. Typically about two days.

  3. 03Day 3

    Live

You run a normal OPD. Weights go on the chart, doses are dictated, and the first vaccination reminders go out to parents that evening.

Your questions answered.

The things clinics ask first.

The schedule is loaded on day one to match the one you follow, including optional vaccines you offer. Each child's record shows doses given with batch and date, doses due, and catch-up when a dose is late.

Yes. The parent's number is the contact for the family, so siblings share one WhatsApp thread with the clinic. Reminders name the child and the vaccine, and go from your clinic's number on SaroConnect, our own infrastructure.

You dictate the drug, the mg/kg dose and the formulation. Saaro uses today's recorded weight to calculate the dose, shows it in ml for that formulation and checks it against the child's age and allergies before you send.

Yes. The chart for weight, height and head circumference can be sent to the parent on WhatsApp after the visit, with the percentile marked, so they have it for school forms and second opinions.

Yes. Batch, expiry and site are recorded against each dose given, and the vaccine line on the invoice carries the batch. A stock view shows what is in the fridge and what is running low.

Yes. A child's ABHA can be linked in the record, with consent captured from the parent, and records pushed in FHIR format where the parent asks for it.
